 The goal of Steps 2 Success 4 Teens is to assist Caribbean youth flourish in high school, college, career, and life by identifying personal strengths then applying that information using a series of assessment profiles and biblical principles. Our Jamaica Pilot Program will be launched September, 2010 @ Herbert Morrison Technical High School Montego Bay, Jamaica. Our program will target 300 tenth graders.
Objectives
· Present biblical principles for personal development and goal setting · Present effective conflict resolution principles · Identify individual communication styles and enhance communication · Recognize individual learning styles and enhance learning · Reveal individual motivational needs and motivate students · Develop effective study, test-taking and study skills in students · Assist students in finding occupations that fulfill the needs of their personality The steps are taken from biblical characters reflecting part of their life's quest and challenges. It is hoped that the series will be welcomed not only by teens, but also by youth leaders, principals, administrators, teachers, and all those who are involved in youth development. The series is ideal for use in schools, youth groups, camps, and juvenile facilities.
Joshua
Teaches how to be successful in your personal life. It presents biblical and practical steps for success. The six steps presented are Respond, Remove, Relocate, Request, Require, and Respect.
Joseph and Esther
Teaches how to manage the tongue, anger, challenges, temporal things, people, and one's talents. It's a tool for effective conflict resolution and presents principles for personal and group success. (Available - April 2010)
Beyond High school
Provides the necessary steps for securing enrollment in college or successful transition into a career. It is designed in a journal format and outlines the success steps for each year a student invests in high school. (Available -September 2010) "Empowering Caribbean Youth with Kingdom Values"  |
